The Raid: Redemption (The fight scenes are some of the best I've ever seen. Sure, the plot is a bit thin and dry, but the cinematography and choreography is fantastic).
9/10

i didnt watch the shining but i hear its an instant classic.
world war z is a shit movie, i dont think it can be compared to anything from kubrick.
i give wwz a 5/10 rating.
shit is like an episode of dr house but with zombies and brad pitt being dr house
plot is idiotic, the world relies on the instict of brad pitt..
as if nobody else in whole world would have not noticed already that the sick dont draw attention from zombies..
the only good about the movie is the effects and a few action scenes

World war Z - 3/10
After Earth - 5/10 ... this movie has bad acting, lame dialogue and a stupid story but i enjoyed watching it because of the imaginative sci-fi scenery.

After Earth did a good job of portraying an advanced human civilization and most of the movie is just eye candy with well done CGI. It felt like one of those Discovery Channel specials on pre-historic mammals.

Watched The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (1972), French mixture of surrealism and dreamlike sequences that only make the film more endearing. It's really peculiar. I liked it.

i went in to see 'The Purge'
shit sux, i watched until first 30mins and walked away..
i decided to go see it cuz, imo, all movies with ethan hawke are good...
or almost all..
this one is a huge fiasco.. bad acting, bad script, terrible plot...
