It's kind of a scrappy doo thing and I always hated scrappy doo, plus, bolt is a really wooden, one-dimensional character. not a bad popcorn flick but it also annoyed me to see Bolt constantly play the fool to the intellectually superior cat. 7/10
Beverly hills chihuahua - Now these dogs had attitude! Chloe (the chihuahua) was full of spunk as a lap dog spoiled rotten. the sultry-voiced Drew Barrymore does the voice of this indefatiguable chihuahua as she wanders through a series of misadventures in mexico. the mexican dogs speak in spanish-accented english. A male dog tracks her down to rescue her which I found outdated and offensive. 8/10
lol
CL: well i haven't watched it with most of my friends just because i know most of them wouldn't be into it. the one friend i watched it with in the past i think enjoyed it, as he was just discovering lynch, but i don't think he was quite as into it as i was. the other person i watched it with is my gf, who's taste is very similar to mine. just luck i guess

anyway:
behind the mask: the rise of leslie vernon: 0/10
garbage. don't watch this, even if you think it sounds good. trust me, it's not. the rare movie with no redeeming value whatsoever. a horror-comedy that is neither scary nor funny. no atmosphere whatsoever. after about a half hour we ended up fast forwarding looking for some good gore effects but nope, not even that. if this was a sci-fi channel original movie it'd be one of the worst ones i'd ever seen, but its not which makes it even worse. this left such a bad taste a good horror movie was needed:
carnival of souls (1962): 8/10
somehow i hadn't seen this until now. classic atmospheric horror. somewhat dated, as to be expected, but it adds to the charm. the hokey acting at times even adds to the general creepy factor. awesome score. a pretty predictable "twist" in my opinion but that does little to diminish what the movie really does right, a pervasive sense of creeping doom and terror. if you're a horror fan and haven't seen this you probably should. _________________

looks like i missed the great war2 occult inland empire debate. here's my 2 cents:
inland empire is david lynch's version of coming out of the closet. if you can't accept him for who he is you need to be taken out back and horsewhipped

What do you see in this movie?? I just think it`s way too long, slow and boring. Just my opinion anyway...

i guess it was the character development i liked so well. by the end of the film it seemed like i knew all of the characters. the photography was pretty outstanding too. i could tell it was a slow movie, but i guess it didn't feel like it while i was watching it.

One of my favourite movies is The Pianist.
I watched it again recently and it's still as good as I recall.
I also think it's a movie that a lot of people pass over simply because of the title but it does have a great story to it.
