i also want to spy and destroy this guys air bases
shit won't let me , it says as a member of gdi i can't do it unless i declare war, but i've attacked him several times already

those are war actions. gdi says a big no no to that.
basically gdi says:
if you join gdi, you can't do war actions unless someone provokes you (hits you twice)
if you dont join gdi, you can do war actions against other non-gdi players. if you want to war a GDI player they need to hit you twice to allow that

dont worry, im sure he's gonna come roaring back at you and open up war as an allowed option. as soon as he hits twice you can start doing ABs, BRs, GS, bomb airbase, etc. a few tips
bomb airbase: you want to make sure his jets are HOME (not on planned strike and away for 2 hours). you want to have your OWN jets, this factors into the calculation of how many jets die
bomb buildings: this is good, better if you have the same building types. make a lot of spies per acre to succeed on spy ops
demoralize: you can get his military down to 70% effectiveness with this and he has to use turns to get it back up
AB (artillery barrage): attack with only tanks, vs only tanks. kills buildings. make sure you have enough tanks to defend yourself from getting totally flattened (all buildings destroyed)
BR (bombing run): attack with only jets, vs only turrets. kills buildings and some population.
GS (guerilla strike): not as good at crippling a person as the above attacks, because it doesn't kill any buildings, only population. however, losing population can also lower your production, and if you lose ALL population, you !!~DIE~!!

and i hadnt thought about war2 but i might i guess? ok so u can see what i did with my country, focused all on industrial complexes. i have a few oil rigs because oil and indies produce at a flat rate, and oil is expensive this round. i focused most my tech on industrial, because that's what most my buildings are. i have some bus/res tech (called "secondary tech") just to help my income be less negative. weapons tech always is good, makes your army more efficient
i should attack you and take some of your land before BYOB starts warring you lol. (once you get hit a lot you're in DR - diminishing returns - which means people attacking you get diminished returns ie not much land)

military tech is worthwhile, i get some eventually and quite a bit by the end. this set with expensive tech i dont have much.
military bases you dont really need. theyre kinda cool, their benefit is they lower military expenses so you make more money per turn, and they lower military prices on the Purchase screen (private market), but it just doesn't make sense to have them when you could have more of whatever you're producing (industries for a commie, farms for a fermer, enterprise zones and residences for a casher... The only scenario where I would get military bases is if I wanted to destock (spend the money i made all reset at the end), like say I have saved up $4,000,000,000, well one thing I could do is knock down ALL my buildings, replace them all with military bases, and then my turrets and jets might cost only $95 or something and i could make a huge jump for a high score at the end... and maybe even sell stuff on the public market for $155 and then buy more for $95 and make more money etc... but that's the only situation they're useful in

im attacking guys with low networth and high land is all. that guy Call me V hit me first so my hit back was a 'retal' as people call it. when someone hits ya, usually you can hit them back and theyll let it go because it's a 'retal.' it's up to them though but yah usually a safe hit.
starting to climb the ranks here and my country is in good shape, although with tech so expensive a techer shouldw in this round.
but if you think about it, i have 389 turns untaken
if i took all 389 turns, i would get 8644 (number of industries) * 1.35 (commie bonus) * 1.45 (tech bonus) * 1.86 (the # of jets/turrets produced per 1 industry) = 12,242,753 jets/turrets... i could get that many right now if i wanted to waste my turns. jets/turrets are worth 0.6 networth, so that's 7,345,651 networth, in addition to my current 2.5m networth. so I could jump to 9.8m networth right now if i felt like it lol. which would put me in first place by, well, a significant margin. some of those other guys might have unplayed turns too though, or a lot of money on hand. look for DeathFromAbove to easily win this reset because he's a techer... all labs and selling tech, for these high prices... maybe i can get 2nd or something

so the #1 problem with your country is all these 'junk' acres, that is, acres not following your main strat. even though you have 8579 land, you only have 4617 indies, like barely more than half your land. youve got almost 1000 random ent zones/res/labs etc... your industrial tech isnt that high (118%) and you have no turns left on hand. meaning your future outlook isnt that good for this round, which is a reason why i would attack you. another reason is our networths are very close. if you attack someone near your size, it can be dangerous, but you get better returns than if you attack someone of a much different size. basically, though, i can tell that you dont have turns or the industries/tech to hit me back, and i ALSO know that BYOB is going to rain hell down on you soon, so if i didnt know you, i would attack you for sure right now. it would be a very nice grab, i would get 1200 acres or so, it's very tempting :)~ if you dont want me to do it please say so

Ah, what you should do then is if you get the money and have the turns, on the build page, you can click 'destroy buildings,' and you can knock down the ones that aren't the right type
