Switzerland just got its biggest win in (basketball) history, upsetting Russia 79-77 in the 2015 EuroBasket qualifiers!
Switzerland most likely still won't make it out of their group with Russia and Italy (yay for having an easy group), but that's a win for the history books.
In case you wonder how 'good' Switzerland is, they're not even mentioned in the goddamn FIBA rankings. They didn't take part in the Olympics since 1948 (21st), the Euro since 1955 (14th) and they've never qualified for the WC.
Russia finished 3rd in the last Olympics.
Switzerland was up by +/- 20 in the third, the Russians bullied their way back into the game (tied 68-68 with 1:49 left), but it wasn't enough as the Swiss won the FT game in the last 'minute'. Both teams didn't field their best possible squads. Sefolosha didn't play, Capela with a quiet game and a couple nice dunks.

even the inevitable showdown versus spain seems like its being exaggerated...i know spain is very good, has a lot of good NBA players, and have won some of these FIBA things recently. but come on. the USA is still a 10 point favorite versus Spain (and a 30 pt favorite versus everyone else).
