One man sent that SS to me:


He used ddraw color fix implemented in combat 3.15 and has such trouble while making inchat SS.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

yes - i made a thread about this a month ago -

i reinstalled and when the options came, i believe it was the 2 bottom ones that i unchecked, the pink to black hack and some other option - it wasn't the comp AIE

bam - fixed

i've downloaded and installed this thing so many those 2 just didn't seem familiar and i never used the pink to black hack plus one of the scripts seemed new, so far no issues playing without them





so i reinstalled like this




now it works fine

i can't for the life of me get war2 working on windows 8. :/ i've got to boot into win7 partition to play! hopefully someone comes up with a solution or i'm doomed to watching crappy youtube videos when i have important paperwork to do

The correct DLL should be in the war2.us files (which I dont have anymore, have since wiped the machine since then). I had the same issues and fixed it in one of the releases I had put out. It also fixed the colors messing up with alt-tab in chat as well. So if your colors mess up when alt-tabbing, you are not using the right ddraw. If you've got those files kicking around anywhere, you may have the fixed DLL. Just give it a try and see what happens. Either it'll work or it wont depending upon the version you have. I dont take SS's of game chat anyway so it doesnt bother me, but if you want it to work, there is a fix available if you can find it.

Oh, man, this is so annoying. I swear it didn't used to happen, but I can't remember if that was with the older version of War2combat or War2BNE or what. So, removing black to pink fixes it? (nooo )
