Company of Heroes 2
The closed beta is out and it's amazing.
I mean the frist game was great, but this one really adds a lot of strategic depth to things.
It's crazy some of the stuff they've thought of and how it will effect the battlefields.
Edit:
So a few of things in there are true line of site. So if you're walking a unit past a building you won't see another unit on the other side of the building. You only see what's in that units line of site. It's dynamic and moves with the unit. You also won't see units sneaking up behind you. If you blow a tank up and there's fire and smoke, you won't see units behind it. Etc etc. It's quite the step forward for RTS fog of war.
Weather effects. So due to the cold weather your troops will freeze and can die. It takes a long time to happen, but as they get colder their fighting efficiency drops slightly. Also, there's Blizzards that can happen and if you don't get to shelter or a fire, you can lose your troops very fast.
There's a lot more custmoization of the armies. You can customize what abilities each Commander has, and even get small perks for certain groups. So you can have an infantry perk that will give them +10% XP gain, etc etc.
I'm not too far into it yet but the customization is realllllly nice but I'm sure there will be cookie cutter ones that are "the best".
The Russian Side plays a lot like the Americans in original CoH but with a few other units thrown in there (british type units). The Germans play similar to original CoH but again with a mix of some of the British type units (artillery etc). It's not to say they have British units, but just the types of units that the British had.
I only played 2 games but so far I'm incredibly impressed. If you like RTS, and you're into the war genre this will be THE game to own.

lots of giveaways if anyone is interested, if that's gone by the time you read this just check reddit/r/companyofheroes every once in a while

my country isnt on the list of eligble countrys for the beta
Mexico isnt there
but stuff like San Marino is
wtf or what is san marino anyway

They made some really good balance changes in the latest Beta patch. It's playing really well now.
This is going to be a great game imo.
