Hey i'm making a bunch of strategy videos (with my voice commentation) for beginners/intermediate gow/ef players to get new ideas about how to play GOW/EF.

can you commentate over a warvid of someone elses game like a viruz game

i would rather prefer a video of tk raping viruz.

i can, but just watching warvid's of someone watching someone else's game pisses me off personally. even watching my own warvids of other people playing .. ill watch and be pissed that i can't put the viewfinder where i want it. i guess i can download one that they recorded themselves and comment, but i would be afraid to say something like "he did this for that reason" .. and then have the person i commented on say something like "dude ur an idiot, thats not why i did that"

... we can all tell i've had such positive feedback with the pros on MY OWN videos so far . what would they say when i commented on theirs =/

also, blid (or any admin on this site) .. you wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if you guys decided to sticky this thread..

i plan on getting a total of 50+ commentated videos up(from basic builds for all 8 starting locations, to more complex "tricks of the trade") over the course of the next 2 or so months.

i'd like to get some more tower wars, neighbor wars, 2v2 teamplay, individual tutorials on things like choking, haste dk'ing(while sending ogres first) how to use micro in ogre wars .. as much stuff pops in my head that i think others should know, im probably going to make a video on it.

looks like u dont use space bar and ctrl + 1 to control units. they are useful.

ctrl 1 for scout grunt # 1. ctrl 2 for scout grunt # 2. And to select them click 1 or 2.

cntrl 1 for group of 9 knights 1. cntrl 2 for group of 9 knights 2. cntrl 3 for group of 9 mages 1.

they in first person from your point of view?

you wouldnt have a problem if i commented on them? pointed out the smart moves, and possibly even critiqued some errors you made in the game?

i just commented on that cow/brav game and it's a little more tricky than commenting on my own .. there was one point in the game where you had 3 grunts outside s5 and the rest at 2, and i felt like the 3 grunts were to anticipate/predict him rushing out, so they could take out the cat .. but i wasn't sure so i didnt comment on that exact situation.

its a lot easier commenting on my own where i know exactly why i did what i did.. let me know what ya think tho.

And yes, I kept my grunts there to get his cat. I've seen braviet do shit like that before

which is probably part of the reson you felt comfortable leaving ur base unprotected .. you've probably played enough games with him to where u felt confident he wouldnt p scout, get 5-6 grunts and attack.

i've had that happen to me tho so i felt it was something worth mentioning in every day 1v1's not to leave base unprotected if you can avoid it.

have you tried doing stuff through streaming websites like justin.tv? basically you'd stream the replay and you talking with me about it over vent. we'd have the replays up on our own machines and comment. it would take a little bit of preparation cuz we wouldn't both want to be talking about the same exact things but it might be interesting for viewers

Just both load a replay simultaneously, then vent & record the commentary. Slap the recorded commentary soundtrack on a high quality replay and upload to YouTube. Would that work?
