 | Re: free 1 time name change Having to pay to change my name is one of the the features I love most about sc2. I mean, $65 is nothing for a video game. I should also have to pay $15 every time I change my name. Blizzard needs to milk me every time I do anything, they should charge me for the privilege of even using their name in this post.
It's even better than having to log into battle.net to watch replays or play single player. That is my second favorite feature.

I am just waiting for the compliance dongle feature that they are going to stick up my ass to monitor me....

 | damn, was going to post a comment on there telling blizzard thanks but its 10 bucks per post on battle.net or blizzard sites. guess i'll have to wait until i finish paying off my last week's worth of b.net logins (15 bucks a pop). it sure does cost a lot of money to keep blizz's stockholders hap...er, to keep b.net working well, at least the game only costs $60_________________

 | they're using the WoW model: you make the most money from being able to repeatedly charge people money for shit after they make the initial purchase |

 | whoa i just found out wings of liberty and the two already announced stand-alone expansion packs will all have their own expansion packs that will add the ability to view replays or play single player without logging into battle.net and also add chat rooms! not to worry though folks, these expansions will have a regular expansion price of $40_________________

 | Wow has a bunch of inflated retarded charges. They charge you for name changes/server transfers/race transfers/alliance transfers/microtransactions (even though you're paying a monthly fee to play the game)/ gender transfers, etc
all of which are like 20+ dollars a pop, and are easily all features that could have just been implemented into the game.

I expect that they are going to charge people for name changes and probably a premium monthly fee for tournaments. It wouldn't surprise me to see them charge for character stat resets, pro replays, maps (we already know this is coming). I think the only thing I wouldn't mind paying for would be more advanced challenges , those were fun but I beat them all within a few days.

 | Petty money grubbing shit like this almost kept my from buying sc2. In the end I decided the quality of the game itself was worth the purchase. But I'll be damned if I let them turn me into a WoW style cash cow, dishing out additional cash for petty shit like changing your name._________________
