seen this on other forums, pretty simple

in some forums where long lines of text that will cover a page or more are used, they offer a scrolling text box imbedded inside the text message holding the large amount of text in a small message.

unnessarcy because no 1 is using long text replies or unneccasary because theres another option?

are you speaking of long in a vertical or horizontal sense? in a horizontal sense... it's rare that somebody provides a link or something that screws up the width so it's unnecessary. in a vertical sense, there's only very long replies in threads where somebody makes a joke and ghostnuke commits his week to arguing it, in which case nobody reads the thread anymore anyway. it is then unnecessary in a vertical sense.

anyway, you know how these people with limited reading ability and comprehension of a 10 year old keep posting links to articles that have shiny words in them? well, with this feature they could cut and paste the whole article into a text box and therefor save my strained cpu the hassle of making farting noises as it tries to load a ie explorer window over ten pop-up blockers and 3 passive virus scanners and maybe ill save a few blood vessels from having ten different ie explorer windows plus three alt-tabbed windows.
