When I use to dual 11/9 I had it setup so that if I needed quick lust I could go stronghold at 21 peons and keep pumping peons, repair mound, and go fort pretty much right away. I tended to get a lot on wood early (this was with barracks mill).

If I was more interested in defending cat rushes and stuff then I wouldn't go stronghold until 27-33 peons. All depends how the defense is going.

If I'm dual rushing I usually end up going stronghold around 35-40 food (with grunts as well).

I dunno, its been awhile, but I use to have one of the best duals, if not the best (when I actually was playing well and on my game, which wasn't very often hah).

I logged on for the first time in a while and I didn't even know that it wouldn't work, forgot that I formated and had to re-install firewall FHK

holy shieza, why do you 2 always get in a huge aruement on someone elses topic? i want to help this guy out and i haft to go through like 50 posts ... anyway, guy on the top... you haft to mine both mines fast, all peons on gold once all procations are made to ensure your safety, number your halls, by selecting one and pressing control, then press 0, then unselect the hall n press 0 to see if it worked, repeat this process with your 2ed hall using number 9, then 0p9p everytime your peons are finished, thats the best way to keep up on peons, remember to keep your farms steady, as far as exping goes, umm it depends on the dual, for example; If you dualed 4/5 its hard to navigate and exp, but its not that hard, you cant send peons to 11/9 or 6/8 that easy, so i normally exp with this dual when i'm forting, as far as 6/8 dual goes, i close in exp spots in when i am hall, i do this because i have 2 cats at 6/8 and if my opponant tried to break me, he would have to have atleast 30 towers i dont know about, 2-3 cats, and atleast 9 grunts, redering his resources extreamly low, and i should be able to win if i turn it around to a power to lust. But exp whenever you get a chance, as soon as possible, but only if you have the resource, and remember to throw up a Cannon for defense if you do not have d&d, or blizzard, gts don't do much and cannons wont coast too much in the long run. Make sure when you dual, you have all peons on gold first, once you hit around 17, ( which Should be in like 3 secs), start chopping like crazy. Remember if you are fighting another dual, that gold is gonna be the key in the long run, so make sure you fight for exp at all coasts, take procations to exp early and keep them alive in early game if you are not scouted, ( always straight dual or 3 hall unless you know your enemy is rushing, for example you just closed a 11/9 dual in and a grunt attacks before your gt's even fishish, in that case, do a inside rush and chop out kill his cats, use your remaining grunts to scout him, and all other exps, exp if you'd like or have the res for it, if not choke and proceed to fort, sometimes if he thought he would crush your dual, just rush him with your grunts, and power to ogres n saps fast. If you are facing a dual for Sure, make it a 3 hall as ASAP. and throw a cannon up at all 3 bases, then continue to a fast fort, n go air. Or you can use my air dual strat which crushes most duals when its Dual vs Dual 1v1, but thats only if you can use humans. If you have any questions feel free Love Yamon.
