GuYS THIS IS A STRATEGY FORuM THX

Make a hall, farm, brx, smith, brx.

Dont waste res on repairing. Make grunts all the time. Make peons if you have the money and already have grunts training. Upgrade all the way to level 5. If you dont lose grunts in battles (which empties up farmspace) you will need to swap 2 or 3 goldminers after a while (like halfway going level 4 orso) to be able to go level 5 and have enough wood to make farms.

Ofcourse you also make farms, always make sure you have enough choppers later on to secure enough wood for more farms.

This strat obviously is very basic. It doesnt take into account neigbour wars etc. You can use it best if you are at 9 and 5 and have to protect your ally dualling or powering at 11/s9 or 4.

Dont make more grunts than you need ;-) (same goes for level upgrading)

id rather not hear anything more from WH since ive already beaten them easily and they basically refused to play me when i asked for 1v1's (which im not good at anyways) so hush and leave ^medieval^ and irishsapper alone kids :(

like guan-yu said use the basics of a rush and then convert it to your needs that is the best way to go...

Well I guess I can try and explain it. Hall farm rax farm smith, after you've made 3-4 grunts get a 2nd rax make 41-45 food put about 14-15 peons on gold then start putting them on wood make about 25 peons total giving you 14-15 on gold and 10-11 on wood make your mill after about 29-33 food. Just keep pumping levels 1 after another you might have to cut a grunt or 2 to go level 4 with axe, but 10 level 3 don't beat 9 level 4. Just try that I don't know how helpful it will be but thats my hard rush

Get your 2nd rax when food is 13/17 or 14/17 or 15/17. Chop with the 4th Peon.

1) Town Hall, Rax, Wood
2) Farm, etc.
3) Smith, gold
4) Wood
5+ Gold

This is rather flexible because u generally find your opponent before 15/17 Food. Put up your Mill asap and then start chopping (asap is gonna be a decent amount after the first rax, u get the mill asap so that ur wood takein is efficient..)

there's a bunch of strats here, but i think i have a good hard rush/lust rush...

peon1-townhall,farm,rax
peon2-farm
peon3-smith
peon4-rax
peon1-go to vacant spot and start blocking off with farms
peon2-farm
peon3-gold
peon4-gold

all the while makin and putting peons on gold- making foots/grunts, and once you have about 6-9 grunts start getting peons on wood, only upgrade to level 3 - get about 4-5 on wood, rush and go hold, and you have that instant exp when you take your peon to block off a spot with farms, and a place to put farms, this strat isnt full proof at all, belive me, i know it all to well, but it can be worked with.

One other thing to keep in mind, which I'm
sure anyone with basic gow skills knows..
but I thought I'd just through it out there..
The start position will determine how hard
you can rush, the obvious best spots for
a lvl 5 hard rush are 12/2/5.. positions
where it's not necessary to chop/wall in
order to get optimal mine pathing..

Another point I'd like to re-iterate, was the
necessity to rush @ lvl 5..
IF, after scouting, and coming to the conclusion that the opponent is >going< to
outrush you, >and< you can't choke and lust..
you might be able to beat him off with a strong lvl 5 rush... since most opt for
quicker lust and screw the lvl 5 upgrade..
in this, you might be able to catch him off-guard..
You certainly shouldn't start the game, with
rushing @ lvl 5, your immediate goal..
Unless your certain you can defeat your
opponent using any strat ;-0

9 is the best rushing spot - fastest gold.

True the gold is fast, but I've always found
myself having to deal with either 9s or 11
gay, or dualing. (in 2v2 for example) So
I didn't include 9 as a sure spot for rush
simply because of those issues.

If I want to rush hard from 9 and s9/11 gays me I adjust to them later, rather than Peon checking. I am generally *slightly* worse than if I peon check..
