Actually it doesn't rape me, and I've never seen it done other than people I've done it to.
It works against toss probably 99.9% of the time. Zerg I think it will fail every time, against a terran supposedly it's like 50/50.
I'm just going off of what I've read anyways.

seriously though if you don't play solo you can't really talk about balance. even high level plat in team ladders is filled with noobs, beating them with a stupid reaper gimmick strat is no accomplishment nor is it evidence that it's imbalanced
