One at a time? On BNE Kanuks or Mage could likely take you 3 at a time. On EF it's a certainty.

A lot of us have played them. I know there's been a couple times (years apart) where I got involved with some Free players, and within an hour or so, I was beating everyone I played fairly easily.
Now, maybe I wasn't playing against
Good
free players, I don't really know, all I know is I won the last 20-30 games I played, after losing the first 3-4. It was getting so bad they were having me come to their channels, recruiting other people to play me telling them "You need to play Ywfn, he's really good".
I think many people here have had similar experiences, which is why they think the way they do about how easy it is to pick up these types of maps.

Mage blows. He cannot handle F speed w/o latency hacks. 1-0. Pwned.

If anyone here played you 100 games, you would win the first 10, and lose the next 90. Thats pretty much guaranteed. As soon as we adapt, its over. We are used to actually having to make decisions, not just pump and patrol.[/quote]
so fucking true... but then again who would lose his time on boring pump fest?

I did, but I really couldn't gather any information from them. A replay would be a lot better.

I haven't seen Mage on F but I know he beat Kanuks on F and Kanuks is better then me on F and I could easily take 2. Therefore they could both probably take three.

If all there is to it is pumping units, how about you go do that in a free game and see how far it gets you?

Most of them? Yes. All of them? No, but after 10 games we would come very close and if they played 100 on any BNE I'd still dominate them.

I'm sure there are some Free players with actual skill. But I would wager that I would win alot more games of Free, than any Free player would win of a built-in against me. In fact, I wager it wouldnt even be close. _________________ We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

I just want some of you to live up to your saying that you can adapt to Free. Im telling you now It wouldnt be easy for me to adapt to BNE and be a great player in less then a year.. and Im betting the same thing towards you and free. I could play you so many times in Free and you will never get good enough to beat me. It just simply wont happen.
The difference is that most of the people here have been playing WarCraft II with all it's features, flaws and tricks for 6 or more years, while you have spent whatever the time you've played the game playing a version of war2 stripped of most of the essential aspects and replaced with speed. All we need to do is forget most of the stuff we know and use the speed we have anyway, while you have a whole game to learn.

I've played Free before, and much like my turns at mini chop and Jammin, i have won alot more than I have lost.
Free, minichop, jammin, all these customs that people create are more like popcap games than they are like war2. _________________ We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

Thats funny because I taught someone Free from this forum, they claimed they were Jigga Man but Jigga says it wasnt him, and I taught them tricks they never even knew about and they were amazed. I would like for whoever that person was to speak up.
Wow I can teach you how to mill 5 on both Gow's , but it hardly makes either of us superstars. _________________ We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

Just a question for burntx or whatever his name is : did u play anyone on a map that requires ressources gathering yet? How does it feel to hit "O" and see the enigmatic "You require more gold" message pop? Or maybe you arent done yet training newbies on free settings?

I agree with Ywfn. The first few times I played free I got smoked. But it wasn't long before I started winning against the best "free" players. Like one free game I played, I joined and he was like "no magic". Wasn't surprised by this newb rule, free maps are all newb maps. Anyway his 5000+ games and newb "no magic " rule enabled him to win every battle whenever I attacked, until I noticed he had this really gay layout: he made a wall of raxes that prevented his men from getting to his townhalls and gold mines. So I landed some sappers behind the trees, blew a hole in the treeline, and set up raxes and towers in his own base. I then procceeded to rape him silly before he knew what happened. He then broke his own "no magic rule" and tried to dk me. He still got raped. I asked him why he cheated and he said, "because you did something I didn't expect" Almost all the damn players who play these newb maps are the same way.
I can't even begin to count the number of elite "archers only" newbs I have raped. Then I get called names for not using their same tired cookbooked strats. Any sign of inovation at all and these newbs fold. Here's a list of some of the rules these newbs have thrown at me "in game" after the game has started: "No lumber raping. No mill raping. No hall raping. No back raxing. No flank attacks. Etc. Etc"
