Can someone please explain to me the difference between Micromanagement and Macromanagement?

Macromanagement is like controlling factors of production. Overall base control, resource management, ect...
Micromanagement is controlling your units.

Think of it this way: Macro is the bigger picture, Micro is the smaller.

In warcraft terms:

Macro is grouping all your units and patrolling them somewhere.

Micro is individually assigning units a task. Like in war3 (as I've already learned)... Assigning a few of your units to attack someone's hero. Or even in war2 when you assign units to attack specific targets, like the weakest of their units or a priority target like a Death Knight or something.

I wouldn't worry too much about micro in war2, because it really doesn't make a difference because the units have really low hit points to begin with. Althought it can very critical in some cases where you don't have many units, or you're low on resources.

Actually Microing can make a big difference, even with a lot of units. If you have several paladins fighting somone, having them heal eachother can greatly turn the tides of battle. Its happened to me before. Or microing all your trolls on units behind the enemy front like you cant get to.

The reasons I dont play anymore is because the game is dead only faggot newbies like yourself, its_player, and taxstunna still play. There is no competition, not to mention the game gets boring after time. Also, war2 is a waste of my time and I regret all the time I wasted playing it and no longer play anymore games.
