i don't know, maybe it is only me, but i have found the "follow the leader" possibility very useful in many games, mostly for evacuating the peons from my camp after a mine collapses as ther is only one space they can get through and will get stuck if i don't.
but also, i haven't played it recently, but this is very useful on the map all you need.
most ppl will wall in and end up chopping out in the back, where you can walze 2-3 full groups of lustys right into their unprotected base.
