1 for general discussion and more than one for true warcraft business (bnes, customs, ss reports/replays/hacking suspicions or whatever). fuck links and reviews, fuck guitar tabs, fuck smurfking and his picture spam

im not opposed to any of that.. if we make the switch and someone makes a valid case for creating a new section of forums and it gets voted in, i'd say add it and let the person who wanted it moderate/control it
if it bombs simply get rid of it

keep in mind there are different layouts and stuff... the goal (from my perspective any way) is not to create some new flashy revolutionary forum
its just to have a forum that everyone can go to, because right now we can't do that
i've had at least a dozen .ru members ask why their forum account hasn't been approved and why they cant talk on the forums... that's a horrible thing if only some of the community can be involved in the forums

My we are quick to forget the efforts of mousetopher. There already exists an open door there for a new forum. She has the server and design skills to set it up if it's not been done already and it is on a domain that everyone already knows. Not to mention it has the link BACK to here. Change it, wallah, done. Efforts should be done to unify the forums under the same domain name as the server itself anyway.

There's lots of people who know this forum and will return here. They all should be redirected to the new one. How to do that?
I don't like to split the community when the old forum will attract old visitors for years and the new forum will be one more emtpy forum.
So, need to think everything carefully before begin.
I suppose any kind of bot for parsing the old forum or autopost something to it...
4. We have a magic date in the beginning of December: war2 date of birth. Let's start the new forum to that date.

For God's sake man, it's a forum not rocket science. There's a working bridge for WP and SMF that I've tested on war2.me, set up the forum.war2.ru domain and I'll get it installed. Talk about attracting new players, a non-broken forum would do wonders for our credibility.
