"In a question and answer session during Blizzcon, Blizzard production director J. Allen Brack said that a small team is currently working on making the games compatible with modern PCs. A fan asked about the possibility of getting to replay those games and Brack replied, "So, we actually have a guy on our team – actually several guys on our team – who are actually working on a side project to do something like that in some form or fashion."

This was a year ago, hopefully it comes out soon and they do a HD remake like they did with AOE 2. War2 needs something big cuz its so dead, its not even funny. Even the forums are dead now.
