i remember watching nigeria in the last world cup and their goalkeeper was damn good. not sure if they have the same one . i wonder if any boko haram insurgents are on the team.

man...that group....goddammit. it doesnt seem like the usa will be favored in any games, but they are pretty evenly matched with ghana and portugal. and maybe germany will have already won the group by the 3rd game.
really hard group but im happy to play ghana (maybe can start off with a win!), then portugal, then germany.
the ordering of it all may be the only thing that helps team usa progress to the next round

USA may be favored vs ghana. i don't think they are evenly matched with portugal though... portugal has a definite edge. that said, winning or drawing vs portugal is possible i guess, and like i said, probably favored vs ghana...

i think we're like 40/60 vs portugal
we're probably like 60/40 vs ghana but I have a really hard time saying that since it feels as though USA loses to ghana literally every time they play.

the other answer is because the game clock runs nonstop for 45+ minutes a half and they dont want to break up play with stoppages for reviews. but yeah they could have someone in an office watching replays send a quick page to the ref before the pk takes place and say "wait, noo!"
