Update: Well, I couldn't do it. I got through the Viper manor and then just decided I was bored and forcing it. I read through the game synopsis and watched all of the endings via chronpedia and youtube. I think i'm just as satisfied.

that period in the early to mid 2000's where every fucking game had a forced stealth sequence was the worst. that's one of the worst offenders in my memory alongside the one in tony hawk underground and iirc even fucking ff9 had one (there was some stupid minigame in the part where your party gets captured at least)
