hearthstone beta
anyone playing this?
i saw turtuleman on.
its a card game. would make for a geat app but at the computer its gets a little old.
esp when you see guys who have spend a shit load of money buying cards rahter than grinding levels to unlock them.
i use to love to travel and play in sw ccg games

yea after i got uncomfortable at the PC the thought that it had great potential to be a great tablet game
played the shit out of it this week and got a mage priest and hunter to lvl 16
one fun improvement idea... if u have mana left during your opponents turn class abilities/spells into interrupts...but with a small window to play
if they move quick and u hit it right u watch thier move reverse and create a more intense rage on one side with glee on the other as opposed to feeling smug u got the card combo out just to watch it go up in smoke

this game makes me wish magic the gathering had a streamlined experience.. after playing it i downloaded a demo of magic online and i felt like i was playing some shitty high school programming class mid term project

its still in beta though.
i think they need cards you can use on your opponents turn if you have left over mana.
yea 30 cards is to small. sw ccg had 60 card decks.
great foundation to start from imo
i use to play sw ccg id traveled alot to play in tourneys and did well and even use some cheese where they clarafied certain things in the rule book that eliminated my cheese.

I think it has to not be as complex as Magic or it'd be a direct copy. I like the battle system, I worry about beatdowns already though.. this is Magic on steroids.
30 cards is fine b/c of the system.

in the application for the hearthstone team it asked for critiques of 3 cards
for you to design 3 cards
and your other card playing experience.
the game needs card you can play during your opponents turn if you have the required mana.
as more cards are released at some point deck sizes need to increase.
i would like 5-10 more cards in deck size. and what the fuck with the 10 mana cap?
with having 3 easy variables damage/health/mana cost cards could be used to use those numbers in some way
how about a team game? you and a buddy with both ur heros and decks.
and perhaps like a 'faction' one side vs another side 2 clear distinct sides. no mirrior matches.

I didn't play long. Only a few hours. It bores me quickly compared to magic.
Unfortunately I find Diablo 3, Heathstone, Starcraft 2, Wow.. all these games seriously make me bored and sleepy minutes after starting them.
I'll be in rust~~

it has a forced hurried grind feel. small card pool and deck size. i didnt play magic but i played swccg and rather than one location action you could have multiple locations with multiple things going on at once. locations gave various ammounts of what equaled to mana gems. kinda like building up an economy. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.10.10.10.... what kind of economny is that?!? that is a big annoying element to me.
is there any games that get your juices flowing?

It's better than a month ago. Besides VAC there's facepunch software that also checks/bans people.
There's still the occasional hacker, just have to play where admins are active.
