i don't know why we're contrasting wild owls with humans.
i do know species go extinct all the time throughout history and that's just a part of natural selection. the barred owl is picking off its rival, the spotted owl that has apparently struggled to survive in its environment as it's nearly extinct.
why are we trying to play a role in that now, trying to reverse or halt the process of natural selection?
