Good job.

On another note, my aunt who smoked for about 27 years has stage 4 lung cancer and around 6 months to live.

Congrats, I started late (20, hah). I'm about 5 years in and it's only gotten worse since I've switched to rollies, $6 a bag vs $6 a pack. I wish I had willpower or medicade which covers Chantix. Laughing

Thx.
Sorry to hear about your aunt Kith. '=[
Scrub you should try e-cigs. They help with the hand to mouth habit + deliver nicoteen. Worked for me. I was rolling my own for the past year also. Much cheaper that way.

I think exercise is a good way to quit smoking. Start jogging regularly and smoking is like the last thing you want to do. The two activities are at war with each other.

It's not even possible to smoke cigarettes. The cigarette smokes itself, you're just the sucker. booyah!

I quit 4 years ago. Smoked for 10 straight years. (around 15 ciggs a day)

I did it overnight, no nicotine or other 'conventional methods'

My personal secret or method was... for the anxiety.. i would smoke a weed cigg instead. (Im not a regular weed smoker, but I was for 2months)

And stay away from alcohol, sugar drinks (coke etc..), spicy foods for 2 months (these foods/drinks make u want to smoke ciggs, or so I read) and drinking a lot of water, do exercise etc...

Have not smoked any tobacco cigg ever since, and will continue not to.

Im not saying or implying weed isnt harmful, in fact a weed cigg has carbon particules too which go straight for the lungs too, (it isn't as harmful as ciggs since those contain a lot of chemicals and poisons), a lot less harmful if smoked on a water bong though.

I'm on e-cigs too. They work. I never thought I could quit. I always enjoyed smoking. I initially got the e-cig just to help me stop smoking inside my house. I never expected to stop all together.

chantix is the best way to quit smoking. Ecigs are a joke, you're still feeding the addiction.

Nicotine patches feed your addiction as well. It still helps you quit. I know one guy who used a simulated cigarette to quit. It is just a stepping stone to the goal.

i think his point is that chantix is the "best" way .. could be wrong, but im pretty sure its been proven the most effective.

You still get nicoteen, that's true. But you're cutting out all carcinogens, not to mention the smell + second hand smoke.
I've known people who swear by Chantix, while others just can't stand it. There are side effects.

after the first week you don't notice any side effects. You could stick with ecigs the rest of your life, but you're gonna slip up and smoke real cigs here and there, trust me. If you can't quit, then go with ecigs, if you can, go with chantix.

The only major side effect I've heard from Chantix is horrible lucid dreams.

I almost broke up with my gf on it in the first week because it made me extremely volatile. My dreams are always strange anyway, so I didn't notice any change there.

I smoked for a while when I was 14ish. Not a whole lot like 2 packs a week. Eventually I quit cold turkey but I wasn't as deep into it as others.

Good luck quitting.
